About the department
The radiodiagnosis department provides the scans and imaging that help doctors find the cause of illness and injury — digital X-ray, ultrasound, Color Doppler, CT scan and MRI.
Having imaging inside the hospital means patients do not have to travel to another centre for a scan, and emergency patients with head injuries, strokes or accidents can be scanned quickly.
Every scan is reported by a radiologist and the report goes to your treating doctor. Some scans need preparation, such as staying empty-stomach or a full bladder — our staff will tell you when you book.
